Dear Unity Friends,

Catherine Ponder writes, A first grader had made a beautiful Christmas card for me, titling it "Guardian Angel."  The angel was a colorful combination of many colors painted with crayons on art paper.  And the angel's wings were uplifted.  The message it contained from that first grader was,  "May your Christmastime last all year long!" 

At this hectic time of year, this first grader reminds us that our cards don't have to manufactured and gold-embossed, and our well-wishes can be a simple one-liner.  Let us take the good things of the season and stretch those out over the coming months to last all year long.  And anything that we may consider to be not so good, let us just do without it this year. 

If you always sang in the choir, but really didn't want to, this year give yourself permission to sit in the congregation and enjoy others' voices.  If you always wanted to sing, but thought you might be judged for your voice, this year take the plunge and sing!  If you really don't enjoy buying for Aunt Thelma, this year bake her some cookies or just send a card with the wish, May your Christmastime last all year long.
