Scripture: "
...and they shall name him Emmanuel, which means, 'God is with us.'" Matthew 1:23 NRSV
The gifts of this advent season remind us that first we have hope for those things not seen, then we
create our manger of peace in preparation for the birthing of the Christ within us. As we embrace the Christ within, nurturing this living well-spring of God-energy that comes from our inner being, we are overcome
with feelings of love.
When the Christ is reborn in us each Christmas time, we tap into that reservoir of love, and it must be shared with others. God's love is always present, always
active. When we take responsibility for being God's love in action, that love takes on a new essence. It becomes real and personal. We give the gift of love, and the gift gives back to us.
Today, dear God, I am willing to align with the commandment given by Jesus when He said to "love God, love my neighbors, and love myself." I am open to being your heart, your hands, your feet, your voice this
Christmas.
I am willing to be God in human form. Amen.
