Dear Unity Friends,

Happy is the man that findeth wisdom,
And the man that getteth understanding.
For the gaining of it is better than the gaining of silver,
And the profit thereof than fine gold.
She is more precious than rubies:
And none of the things thou canst desire are to be compared unto her.
Length of days is in her right hand;
In her left hand are riches and honor.
Her ways are ways of pleasantness,
And all her paths are peace.
She is a tree of life to them that lay hold onto her:
And happy is every one that retaineth her.
Jehovah by wisdom founded the earth;
By understanding he established the heavens.

The power of Understanding is about balancing all of the Powers of God in us.  The Powers are meant to be used together, not selectively or singularly.  Understanding is the "left-brain" response to the "right-brain" powers of imagination and faith.  Understanding is the intellectual, probing, questioning part of the power spectrum.  When we pray for understanding, we are asking for the ability for our brain to process whatever is in question, and by combining this awesome power with the other spiritual powers, we grow in consciousness.  Spiritual understanding moves us out of a world limited by our five senses, and into the world of Spirit.

This week, may you find balance in your life as you employ the power of Understanding.
