Being All We Can Be By Lynda McClanahanChildren possess a fearlessness that is unavailable to
adults. Since the world of negative possibilities is unknown to them, they throw their entire being into an activity without fear of consequences. This state of mind causes anxiety in
adults responsible for them, but in children, it allows the achievement of things that are truly remarkable.
I remember quite clearly the experience of throwing myself into a task without reserve. One favorite pass time was to ride my bike as fast as I could, stand on the seat and
stretch my arms out to the wind. How light and confident I felt as I flew down the street like an acrobat! Such activity
is possible only in a mind free from doubt. Alas, my mother had a mind of her own and soon put a stop to my death defying exploits.
Jesus said, "Let the little children come unto me and forbid them not: for such is the kingdom of God." I am sure my mother was right. But I am also sure that the childish
ability to throw our selves 100% into an activity releases a vast storehouse of energy. We have the ability to achieve great things, even greater than we have yet imagined. Download a Printable Version of this Inspiration
