Dear Unity Friends,

The late Rev. Eric Butterworth wrote the book, Discover the Power Within You, in 1968.  Butterworth was a well-known and brilliant Unity minister who had a deep desire to uncover the true meaning of Jesus' teachings in a way that people could make practical application of them in today's world. 

The basis of this work is that true meaning and fulfillment come only from an inner journey to discover the spiritual nature within each of us.  And in this discovery, we also find our own divinity, our true identity.    Butterworth says that Jesus made "the great breakthrough in man to the world of the spirit within."  Jesus not only sought fulfillment in his own journey, but he found delight in sharing his discoveries and encouraging others along their paths of spiritual exploration.  To follow this Way-shower, we, too, must make a decision to express our inner Christ in our every day lives. 

Butterworth tells us "the Christ in you is you at the point of God.  It is your 'hope of glory' for it is your true root in Divine Mind."  As we become acquainted with our Christ nature, we meet with God in each quiet moment.  For there within the depths of our beingness is the Greatness that creates all.

This week, let us be outrageous in our pursuit of the Christ Within.  Let us be willing to be completely transformed by a renewing of our minds.  Let us let go of past beliefs and be open and willing to see things in a new light.  These are the steps to growing consciousness.  Come, let's grow together.
