Dear Unity Friends,

One of our internet friends sent me this prayer today.  I share it with you because many of you have shared with me that challenges may lie ahead in 2008.  We begin our year with a focus that it will be great!  Yet, there may be an underlying anxiety that we will be called on to stretch and grow in ways we may not initially embrace.  If this is true for you, then this prayer is for you.

Dear Lord,
I have a mountain in my life - You know which one - the one I keep trying to climb, time after time, and keep sliding back down, humbled and discouraged...This mountain is so high I can't even see the top...Looking back though, I see so many other mountains I've climbed, only by Your strength and wisdom...Even though this one seems to be the worst one yet. Help me to trust and fully believe that You know the way over, and that someday I'll look back and wonder, as with all the others, where my climbing faith was.  Amen

The writer who sent this closed her email with this comment:  "In my own life, I feel a profound change coming that I can't define and yet it feels so significant that I find myself having to summon the courage to acknowledge it. I am truly grateful that Unity in Community is only a click away!"

Dear friends, we are indeed only a click away.  Whatever may lie ahead in this New Year, the great and the not so great, we are here for you as prayer partners, as confidants, and loving supporters.  As the calendar page is turned, let us give thanks together for the wonderful spiritual community we are creating far and near.
