Dear Unity Friends, I've
been playing around with the word "destiny" lately as in "finding your destiny" or "fulfilling your destiny." I think those are interesting statements, but most of us think about them in
terms of what we do or accomplish. I believe our destiny is who we truly are and how we go about uncovering who we are.
Each and every moment affords us another opportunity to become the person we are destined to be.When I think of who I want to be, I picture someone who is kind, openhearted, calm and
levelheaded no matter what the circumstance, and happy, healthy and whole. Between raising a teenager, running into some fairly large financial bumps in the road, and a touch of
hypertension, I've got lots of opportunities to grow into the person I see myself destined to be. Sometimes I move into this place successfully, sometimes not, but either way, there seems
to be unending opportunities to practice. When I'm not at my best, I can see my closed-hearted, upset, unhappy self, and often take that as an opportunity to beat myself up. When I'm at my
best, I think of becoming my destiny like becoming a virtuoso guitar player, which just needs as much practice as I can muster and allows for not always getting it right, knowing I have another
opportunity now, in this moment, to try again. Blessings, Cliff Rubin Cliff Rubin's passion is to celebrate the good in life that is all around us. His work reflects the
