Why Pray?
Good question...to which many answers come to mind. Yet some of us might even have another concern: before I can answer why pray, I need to know more about the "how" of prayer. If that's what you feel, you might want to come to a new class called "Why Pray." When: 5 Thursdays, May 15 - June 12 from 7p.m. to 8:30p.m. Where: Unity In Community Text: Handbook of Positive Prayer by Hypatia Hasbrouck, Unity Books 1995, available in the Book Nook
In the class, you'll be learning how to pray or perhaps polish your prayer skills in order to develop your life of positive prayer.

Bluegrass and old time string band music Jam
Sunday afternoon, July 13th
4:00-6:00 p.m. Carl Yaffey will lead this musical jam for players of bluegrass, and `old time' Appalachian music. Carl
plays banjo, bass, guitar and mandolin and currently plays with Grassahol and The Timbre Wolves. Whether you have been playing for years or are just beginning to get a handle on this dad-burn
toe-tappin' lively music, come on out and jam. Musicians of all evels are welcome (acoustic only, please). |
