Dear Unity Friends,

This past Sunday, a BIG announcement was made at our celebration service.  It is time to Let Our Light Shine and make a move!  It was a year ago that the Seventh-day Adventists put their building up for sale and we have lived this past year in the constant question of "When would we have to move?"  Last spring, the Ministry Development Team decided to take a pro-active approach and begin to look for a suitable space to relocate.  Believing we have found our next perfect home, on November 4th we will be holding services at 74 Wootring Street in Delaware.

It is no coincidence that this Sunday we begin a series on The Twelve Powers.  For the next three Sundays, the message will be an introduction to these powers that influence our bodies, our family groups, our churches, and all facets of our lives. 

Charles Fillmore made the connection between a given Power, a disciple, and a body center.  Peter was the first disciple called by Jesus.  He is the disciple of faith.   How is the faith faculty important to UIC as we prepare to make this move?  It is Faith in our Light that gives us the courage to step out and create a full-time spiritual center.  Matthew 9:29 reads, "According to your faith it is done unto you."  We must have faith that we have a worthy and important message to share with Delaware.  We must have faith in the unity of our spiritual family.  We must have faith in the vision of an ever-green, long-lasting, forever-growing spiritual center of instruction, prayer, and healing. 

Charles Fillmore defined faith as the perceiving power of the mind linked with a power to shape and mold substance.  As we join together, mind to mind, we use our Faith in our Light to build the foundation for everything we do.  Because we have faith in Unity in Community, we can bring into form a wonderful, loving church that focuses on God's Goodness in all things and all people.

We know together that Unity in Community is the expression of God-life and God-love, and upon this rock of Faith we will build our church!
