Palm Sunday by Robin Volker For various reasons, many of us have set aside the
Bible and traditional Christian holidays, yet as we deepen our study, we find value and substance in returning to the ancient stories and viewing them with
the new light of our expanded understanding. At a certain point in our evolution we realized that we were all in this journey together. The traditional
Christians are here with us, too, and we can't find salvation (conscious restoration of our God-given attributes) apart from them. We are all going to find it
together, and that victory over fears and limitations will be a shared one.
With the approach of Holy Week, I turn to the poetic words of A Course in Miracles for inspiration. A
Course in Miracles speaks of this victory over worldly thoughts when it addresses Palm Sunday. "This is
Palm Sunday, the celebration of victory…" (Text 396/425) It is time for us to understand what Palm
Sunday is about; it's about the celebration of victory -- the acceptance and integration of Truth. The Course
gives us another instruction: "Let us not spend this Holy Week brooding on the crucifixion of
God's Son, but happily in the celebration of His release, for Easter is the sign of peace not pain." (Text 396/425) Come and celebrate Palm Sunday with us at
Unity in Community where we will set the stage
for the promised transformation that Easter brings. Download a Printable Version of this Inspiration
