By Rev. Diana RepkoDear Unity Friends,
Has this ever happened to you? You realize there is part of your life that isn't working. You know this
because you are not at peace with it. You realize something needs to change. You're conscious enough to realize it isn't going to change until you
do. And you really want to change, but you either don't know where to begin, or you have made some changes but aren't yet getting the results…the peace…you want.
Many times in my life I have floundered through the process of change…trying this, attempting that. Sometimes my endeavors paid off, and sometimes
I experienced utter frustration at the futility of my efforts.
Over the last 20 years, as I've implemented one change after another—changing jobs, getting married,
improving my marriage, adpoting my children, releasing tens of thousands of dollars of consumer debt,
owning two businesses and running them successfully, pioneering a church and operating it debt-free for
five years, dealing with food allergies and physical challenges—I've discovered a pattern for manifestation. It is this pattern that I'd like to share with you this coming Sunday.
This pattern is versitile. It can be worked forwards, thus using it for co-creation. Interestingly, it can also
be worked backwards, to help us undo those attitudes and circumstances that, after creating them, we stood back and said, "Why did I do that?"
Conveniently, the pattern is based on the twelve powers we teach in Unity…with some significant and
purposeful rearranging. It also incorporates denials, affirmations, and meditation, which are techniques we also teach in Unity that help us integrate the principles into our daily lives.
To begin the work of change, I invite you to contemplate what changes you'd like to make in your life.
You may ponder them in your quiet times. Perhaps you'll even write them down…as an inventory of
sorts. As you make this list, mentally or literally, I encourage you to stay objective. You may end up
with quite a lengthy list. Good! I still have areas of my life I'm changing and wanting to change as well.
You may not like having situations in your life that need changing. That's fine, too. Just don't berate
yourself for having those situations in your life. No "why is this happeing to me" or "only a [pick your
negative descriptor] could have whatever the circumstance" because truly I tell you, being hard on
yourself for having the situations, needing to make those changes, is just creating one more thing to add to the list!
I also invite you to allow the truth contained in Romans 12:2 to be alive in your thinking: I can be transformed by renewing my mind. I suggest you affirm this daily.
You
can change! I believe in You!
Love, Peace, Joy,
Diana
