Dear Unity Friends,

Rumi wrote, "Whatever inspires the mind is of the perfume of My Beloved. Whatever fires the heart is a ray from My Friend."

As we align our minds with the Great Energy of God, what Dr. Wayne Dyer calls the Power of Intention, we find that place inside of us where our happiness, our kindness, our joy, and our ability to behold beauty lies. The words of Rumi remind us to open our hearts to that power, and in so doing we remember that everything kind and beautiful is directly of God. Every small joy we experience throughout our day is one more sign of the ever-present One Presence that permeates and creates all things.

When we pause to study the flower and its beauty, we recognize our unity with the flower and the life within it.  We are its beauty and it is also ours, and My Beloved is alive in each of us.

This week, allow Rumi's words to remind you to see The Beloved in every flower, in every leaf that floats down from the tree, in every sound and bird's cry, in each Fall apple you taste, and each animal you stroke.  God's smile is behind the smile of the clerk at the grocery; God's laugh is in the bubbling rush of the river's water over the rocks; God's love is in the space in your heart as it opens in gratitude for all these wonderful things you have brought into your experience by using your Power of Intention.
