Bio of Rev. Robin Volker Minister, Teacher, Speaker Contact
Robin Volker's involvement in Unity began as a personal one when the Unity Truth Principles changed her life. Since then, her desire
to share these principles with others has led her to involvement in ministry, assisting others in experiencing positive and lasting change in their lives. Beginning as a dedicated volunteer, Robin has served in various capacities in Unity churches. She launched her speaking and
teaching ministry when she pioneered a new Unity ministry in her hometown of Blairsville, Georgia. In 2003, her husband Rick was transferred to Houston, Texas, where Robin persisted in her
dedication to Unity. The classes she taught and her speaking presentations in southeast Texas and northern Louisiana have inspired others to view their lives as full of promise and hope.
When Robin and her husband moved to Ohio in June 2004, she immediately recognized a need in the Delaware community for a Unity ministry. That fall, Unity in Community was born. As leader of this
new ministry, Robin strives to create an atmosphere in which people come to know and express their Christ nature. "Jesus' message was one of joy, peace and love," Robin says. "If I can share this
message in such a way that others experience more joy, peace and love in their lives, I will feel I have succeeded as a minister." Robin earned degrees from Young Harris College in Young Harris, Georgia and Jacksonville State
University in Jacksonville, Alabama. She later continued her education at Unity School of Christianity in Lee's Summit, Missouri, and has her ministerial licensing through the Association of
Unity Churches International.
Robin and Rick live in Delaware. They have three adult children who live in North Carolina --Meghan, Ricky, and Danny --and one grandchild, Claire
Marie. In her spare time, Robin enjoys cooking, reading, and yoga. She has made many new friends since landing in Ohio and finds the people here to be friendly and sincere. When she's not
attending to church matters, you may find Robin chatting with the vendors at the Delaware Farmers' Markets or enjoying a performance of the Central Ohio Symphony Orchestra. |
