Receiving God's Blessing

"But Jacob said, "I will not let you go unless you bless me.' Genesis 32: 26 NRSV
- In Unity, we use metaphysical interpretation to enhance and deepen our understanding of the Bible. There is more to be done with Bible study than to just take it literally. While the
Bible is a history of Jewish and Christian development, it is also considered a handbook of practical law and commandments given to us from God. In the modern technological world of today the events and
teachings of the Bible seem remote and difficult to relate to practical contemporary life. Metaphysical Bible Study lessons provide traditional, historical, and practical interpretation of Scripture for a
more complete Bible study.
- Jacob—Meta. understanding. Jacob should have been born first. We should think before we act.
- Jabbok—Meta. wrestling. When we come to a cross-road, it is hard for us to put away the things we have loved and enter into the experience of a new path. There is struggle within us.
This week, Dear God, I give up the struggle with what was and open to embrace the new adventures the await me. |
