During times of uncertainty, doubt, and transition, we look for reliable ways to receive guidance and direction. But in our despair, we are often comforted
with chaos and turmoil instead of peace, clarity, and understanding. There is but one way to gain that peace, understanding, and clarity - that is to go within using prayer and meditation.
In seeking guidance, we ask our Higher Power, God, to "show us the way." A good way to make this request
is to say, "I am open and receptive to God's guidance in my life today."Sometimes, the answer or insight that comes to you will not be what you expect. It
may not be what you want to hear. Your rational mind will tell you that your inner guidance is wrong and off-target. Don't let this bother you. Your inner guidance, your
intuition, is much more powerful than your ego-mind. If your ego-mind could have figured out the best outcome, it already would have done so. In 12-step work we
often say, "It was your best thinking that got you here." This means that the best you could think of on your own got you into an addictive situation. So you must turn to
thinking greater than your own to get you out of your rut. When you receive guidance from God, most often you will not be shown the final
outcome. Instead you will be shown the next right step. You will be guided to take one single move that on the surface may not seem to be the "be all, end all." This is
when you exercise your faith. Trust that you are being led to the right outcome. Trust that the direction will be made known to you. God wants you to succeed. God wants
nothing more for you than for you to be happy. As you
commit to taking the time for your inner work and prayer time, this guidance
system will become clearer and clearer. You will be plugging in your GPS - your GOD POWER SYSTEM - that will put you on track for GUIDANCE - PURE, and SIMPLE. The
more you practice, the easier it will be for you to follow your inner knowing to a life of peace, purpose, and prosperity.
Affirm today: The Divine Presence of God fills my body, mind, heart, and soul. From this place of higher knowing, I see all things clearly. God's wisdom illumines me, shining
light on my path. God within me wants me to live a life of peace, purpose, and prosperity. All things are working together for good in my life. And so it is.
