Considering Membership in Unity?

Membership in Unity is unique.  The most important requirement for membership in Unity is to love God and to have a desire to understand, grow, and expand your understanding of spiritual principles.  As a member in Unity, you are free to live your life according to the inspiration of the Spirit of Truth within you.

Members are asked to do their best to live the Truth teachings of Jesus, our Way-shower, on a daily basis.  The objective of Unity teachings is to help people live more effective, spirit-centered lives.  Membership in Unity does not require you to give up affiliation with other spiritual paths or religious denominations.

Unity is a worldwide ministry of prayer, publishing, and education that helps people of all faiths apply positive spiritual principles in their daily lives.  Unity people unite in order that they might minister more effectively to each other and to others.  By our commitment to the sharing of consciousness as demonstrated in membership, we become the channel through which others, too, are blessed. 

Each Unity ministry is an individual corporation, affiliated with the parent corporation, the Association of Unity Churches.  Each ministry is an individual corporate entity; it is entirely self-governed.  A Board of Trustees is elected from the membership at an annual membership meeting.  The Board of Trustees holds a fiduciary responsibility to the membership, prayerfully holds the vision of the spiritual center, and supports the minister, who is the CEO and administrative head of the church, in conducting the business affairs of the ministry. 

Membership in Unity in Community Spiritual Center is available to those who feel a spiritual kinship to our church, are actively striving to practice Unity Principles in their daily lives, and who would like to become an integral part of our spiritual community. 

Unity in Community is a full-service, spiritual organization.  It is a church, but it is more than a church.  It is a school of spiritual education for all ages, but it is more than a school.  It is a center of pastoral care, but it is more that that, also.  It is all of these things put together, and more!  As a church, it provides you with opportunities to be a part of our services, which are celebrations of Life and of Truth.  We offer youth and adult education and enrichment on Sundays and at midweek classes.  We focus on opportunities to create deep connections with God through prayer and meditation.  We are building a music ministry to add inspiration and fulfillment.  Attending Unity is an uplifting, enduring experience.

The most exciting part of your affiliation with Unity in Community is what happens to you as you deepen your understanding of the Unity teachings.  Unity is a religious philosophy designed to improve the quality of your life on a daily basis.  An application of the Unity teachings on your part makes you a happier, healthier, and more productive person.  Unity has been called "A Way of Life."  It truly is.  At services, classes, and fellowship activities, you have the occasion to receive and share Truth ideas with your fellow Truth students, as well as your minister.  As we walk together on our spiritual paths, we share our insights and grow.  As we open to new thoughts and actions, many find a way of life that at one time they may not have dreamed possible.
