Our Unitots classes include time for play and exploration. This is an opportunity for the children to learn that our
spiritual spaces are safe, fun, and friendly places for them to be. When it is appropriate, we invite this age child to come join our sacred circle so that they too can learn that they are part of the
whole group and that we are all in this together. It is a chance for them to hear some of the basic principles of Unity so they can also affirm our beliefs and have them be a part of who they are as
they grow with us!Our Unikids and Unitweens classes include age-appropriate, hands-on experiences with art, music, stories, and drama, using lessons based on Unity principles. Y.E.S. begins with a
Sacred Circle that affirms the uniqueness of each child, while illustrating the Unity belief that we are all connected through Spirit. We are blessed to have experienced teachers who volunteer their
talents and time to provide a rich and fulfilling opportunity for our young people to grow as they follow their own Spiritual Paths.
At UNITY in Community we believe God should be User Friendly, and we welcome all families who would like to have their children experience Unity teachings in a caring, supportive environment.
5 Basic Unity Principles The Youth Version
- God is all good and active in everything, everywhere.
- I am naturally good because God's Divinity is in me and in everyone.
- I create my experiences by what I choose to think and what I feel and believe.
- Through affirmative prayer and meditation, I connect with God and bring out the good in my life.
- I do and give my best by living the Truth. I know I make a difference.
"Our mission is not to entertain the children, but to call them out. To be always entertained is to be dwarfed and dependent. To be 'called out' is to follow the harmonious law of the soul's unfoldment.
Who meddles with the rosebud? What fingers are deft enough to pry open that marvel of folded beauty? We are wise enough to leave it alone to follow the glad law of its own unfolding. But our children!
Have we dealt as wisely with these buds of marvelous possibilities? Have we always remembered that they, too, must quicken and unfold through the innate law of their own genius?"
